Sarah Riley
I would like to nominate Sarah Riley, a combat veteran, for a new roof for her home. Sarah has dedicated her life to serving others, even after her military service. She has adopted four children from an abusive and a neglected situation, providing them with a safe and loving home. Despite her personal struggles with PTSD, she continues to put the needs of others before her own. Sarah is married to her wife, Samantha Riley, who is currently serving on active duty. A few years ago, Sarah lost her service dog, and in her desperation, she reached out for help. She tried training her own dog, but unfortunately, her dog washed out of the program. After two more times, she finally received a service dog that could meet her needs. Incredibly , even with her own challenges, Sarah has given back to the organization by helping other veterans in need of service dogs. This year, Sarah faced another tragic loss; her best friend died by suicide. In addition to her four adopted children, she has taken on the responsibility of caring for her friends two children while their father is deployed. Now, Sarah has six children in her home, yet she continues to support those around her and work toward making life better for others. Sarah’s roof has suffered damage that she cannot afford to repair. Given all that she and her family have done for Their community, I believe they deserve this new roof. Sarah strength, generosity, and dedication to others truly embody the spirit of service, and it would be a meaningful way to get back to someone who cares so much to others.

Joseph followed in his father’s footsteps. He seen how his father was looked at as a hero and he just knew that he needed to be a Marine. He did 8 years in the Marine Corps and loved every minute of it. He is now able to say that he fought for this country and its freedom. He is a hard working guy and will drop anything to help out others.
